TALA has found her furrytail ending!

This beautiful young lady is quite the flirt! Everyone who meets her falls head over heels as she effortlessly winds them all around her little paw. No surprises then when Kelly & Adam fell for her charms. And with the company of 3 other Huskies at home, our girl is never lonely or bored either! We'd like to express our gratitude to Sarajane & Daniel, who have been very valuable carers of ours for some time now. They make such a difference to the lives of their beloved fosters.

Happy furrytail ending, Tala!

Could my name be any more tailor-made for me, I wonder? It is widely believed to have come from a Native American language, meaning 'wolf', though in Persian, it means 'golden'. One look at me will confirm that I am indeed a golden wolf...but you can call me Tala.

You people all seem so hung up on looks, so to put it modestly, I'm perfection. All the great artistes in history would be fighting to capture my beauty on canvas. Weighing 30kgs, my Malamute genes mean that I'm just a touch more solid & Rubenesque than your typically concave Husky model types. In the sunlight, my strawberry blonde locks catch aflame, making me the kind of girl that Botticelli would have loved to immortalise. With one eye of perfect blue ice balanced by the other's warm dark glow, I'm not your typical symmetrical muse. However, I'm no abstract Picasso babe either, as you won't have to tilt your head to the side & squint your eyes to try & make out the big picture of my beauty. It's there for all to plainly see. Don't be fooled into thinking that my breathtaking appearance makes me aloof & unapproachable though. The ginger freckles dancing across my nose drop hints that I may just be playful & cheeky once you get to know me better.

So we've established that I'm a classic beauty whose face wouldn't be out of place on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Let's move on to more important things, such as my personality. Aware of the effect I have on people, I sidle up to them & flirt until they reward me with cuddles. I'm quite a good kisser (if I do say so myself) & I like to share my love around, never tying myself down to one person. Let me paint you a picture of a dog who can become quite excitable, jumping up to plant another kiss (especially if I feel that I'm being ignored!) or pawing as a demand for undivided attention. For this reason, any children in my new family should be aged 10+, as I can be a little boisterous & rough in my interactions when excited. A work of art I may be, but I was never made to sit still in a gallery all day. I need daily walks of a decent length, not just to meet my exercise requirements, but to feel bonded with you. I walk quite well on-lead & enjoy the landscape of dog parks as well. My even temperament & impeccable doggy manners are simply brushstrokes of genius - Da Vinci himself would be jealous. While I adore the company of other dogs, I'm very respectful towards them, making me a real collector's piece if you have an existing pack that you'd like to add to. However, I have not been exposed to small dogs, cats or other pocket pets. A minimum of 5ft secure fencing will be required to frame this breathtaking portrait you see before you. I was known to wander from my previous home, but it's clear that when given the exercise & interaction I need & deserve, the thought of desertion will never enter my head. I'm housetrained & will require a family that will illustrate how important I am in their collection by allowing me inside the house when they are home. I know the basic 'primary colours' as far as commands - come, sit, shake etc - but would love to mix it up & add more complexity to my palette. Loyal & adoring, I relish the fact that more training means more one-on-one time with you.
