AMBRE (now Luna) has found her furrytail ending!
After a few false starts, Ambre, now named Luna is finally where she belongs, happily settled in with the Lind family, and a new name to go with her bright new future.
Happy furrytail ending, Luna!
Happy birthday to me! Would you kindly help me blow out my candle please? I'm going to squeeze my eyes shut and make a wish now, but I can't tell you what it is or it won't come true. Here, have a birthday pupcake while I tell you a little bit about myself.
The first year of my life has been eventful, so I'd like to take it easy from here on in. No more sadness or confusion, just lots of love and playtime, please! You see, despite my tender age, I wasn't allowed to be a puppy for long. I gave birth to my own litter of puppies when I was just 10 months old. Because I was too young to understand what I was supposed to do, when my pups were 5 weeks old, my owners said that I was a bad Mum and they surrendered me.
No, no, please don't be upset for me! I know that it sounds like a tragic story, but really, they did me a favour by giving me up. I'm happier than I've ever been and I'm ready for the next chapter in my life...onwards and upwards!
I'm finally revelling in my puppyhood (put your shoes and socks away though or I'll pick them up for you in typical puppy fashion). One of my greatest joys is having someone to play with, so I'll need another dog in my new home for company - and for wrestling, bouncing, chasing and games of bitey-face! Although I have hip dysplasia, you'd be wrong to think that this slows me down. I zoom around the yard at high speed and get really excited when I see my lead. I'm currently taking two walks daily of half an hour each and I still have energy to spare when I get home to invite my Husky foster-bro for more play.
At the end of the day though, my place is lying snuggled at your feet. Housetrained and placid, I enjoy being close to you and included in family life. I can still be a little shy and nervous when I first meet new people, but given the chance, I do warm up. My past just means that it can take a little while to gain my trust, but once you have it, it's yours to keep and a more loyal, sweet friend you'll never find. Happy to give and receive love, I'll gratefully accept all the pats and cuddles you can provide and I sit quietly while you brush me, just soaking up your attention. I'm suited to families with children of primary school age and older. Having lived with a kitty in my previous home and now in my foster home, I've proved myself to be cat friendly.
5ft fencing will be sufficient to keep me secure, as I'm not a jumper or climber. You'll need to make sure that there are no gaps that I could squeeze through though, as I'm quite small and lithe. Smart as a whip, you might want to pop a padlock on your gate, as I've demonstrated that I can open gates and doors if I'm feeling nosey! Of course, the best thing you can do is channel this intelligence. My foster family has already been working with me on sit, stay, heel and waiting for meals, but the sky is the limit when it comes to what you can teach me.
