SHELBY has found her furrytail ending!

Our little pocket rocket, Shelby is home at last, with Darren and his family. Thanks to her foster carers, first Caitlin & Aarun and then Ian, Shelby has had a lovely stay with SHAMROQ, but we're so pleased that she has a permanent home at last.

Happy furrytail ending, Shelby!

They say that the best things come in small packages. And I can confirm that this is the case. This little 16kg package is all sweetness and cuddles. My story was a sad one to start with. I had a litter of babies and when they were old enough to not need me, I was sent to the pound while they were all sent to new homes. But my sad story ends there. The SHAMROQ crew swooped in and here I am, ready for my Furrytail Ending. My sunny disposition is my greatest quality. All of the people I meet, big ones, little ones, old ones, young ones – they are all friends in my book. I am a little wary of males to start with, but warm up as soon as I know they come in peace. I am the same way with other dogs too – social is my middle name. I’ll happily have any medium to large sized dogs as company, but I don’t stand for too much rough play. I have not been around little dogs too much and since I find cats and birds to be very appetising, it may not be the best idea.

I am at my happiest when I can be inside with you as much as possible and curl up right by you at night. I might be easy to please, but being an outside dog is definitely on my list of deal breakers. Even though I don’t plan on being outside all that often, I will need fences that are a minimum of 5 feet tall and not able to be dug under, just in case something on the other side sparks my interest. I currently enjoy one leisurely stroll a day to keep up to date with local events.
